That Geechee Sax

Lowcountry jazz saxophonist Abe White began a
new residency last week at Diana’s at 151
Meeting Street. Look for the jazz cat during the
late evenings from Wednesdays through Saturdays
with midday brunch sets on Sundays. “I would
describe my playing as having an awesome tone,”
he says. “It’s a jazzy conception of ballads,
standards, and R&B, with a feel of the
Caribbean, that reflects that Geechee charm.”
